What’s the Difference Between CoolSculpting and CoolSculpting Elite?

coolsculpting elite

At Worcester Dermatology in Worcester, MA, we understand how significantly stubborn pockets of excess fat can affect your self-confidence. That’s why we’re proud to offer CoolSculpting Elite, a non-invasive fat removal treatment that is similar to the first iteration of the cryolipolysis-based device. However, there are significant differences that we will be covering today.

What’s the Difference Between CoolSculpting and CoolSculpting Elite?

The Elite device features a C-shaped applicator rather than a U-shaped applicator. As a result, your body’s natural contours are hugged a little better, and 18% more surface area can be treated during each session. This results in more fat loss and extremely efficient treatments.

How Soon Will I Be Able to See My Ideal Results?

While the Elite device is more efficient and effective than the original device, it still works the same way. It only freezes localized fat cells to death. It is still up to your lymphatic system to flush out the dead fat cells. Therefore, the number of weeks or months it takes for your final results to become apparent is still up to your body.

What Else Can I Expect After My Treatment?

After your treatment, you may feel like you’re jumping in a hot tub when it is almost freezing cold outside. While you may feel a little odd as the treated areas warm back up, you shouldn’t anticipate feeling any pain or discomfort. There is no downtime following this non-invasive treatment, so you are free to return to work after your session.

What Can I Do to See My Final Results Faster?

To see your final results as quickly as possible, you need to prioritize maximizing the efficiency of your lymphatic system. One extremely effective step you can take to achieve this goal is to ensure you are hydrated. When you’re dehydrated, your body’s systems start to operate more sluggishly. Your lymphatic system is not excluded from this. Make sure you consume enough hydrating fluids that your urine is pale consistently.

Also, keep in mind that your lymphatic system flushes out dead fat cells through urination, defecation, and exhalation. If you feel frustrated because you have to use the restroom more often than normal, remind yourself that you are flushing out fat cells when you urinate.

What Other Steps Can I Take to Boost the Efficiency of My Lymphatic System?

Another highly effective step you can take to boost the efficiency of your lymphatic system is to ensure your diet is as nutritious as possible. Specifically, you should ensure you’re getting your RDA of vitamins and minerals. Additionally, you need to consume as little processed food and beverage as possible. The more unnatural the sustenance you consume is, the harder your lymphatic system has to work. Massaging the treatment areas and getting moderate cardio will also help.

Massaging the treatment areas will help to facilitate more rapid results because it improves circulation in the area. You can also improve circulation in the area by wearing a compression garment. For example, you may see your final results faster if you wear prescription-strength compression stockings and had excess fat removed from your thighs.

Am I a Good Candidate for Fat Removal With the Elite Device?

If you’re pretty healthy and the skin in your areas of concern is not irritated, there’s a pretty good chance you will qualify for treatment with the Elite device. However, an initial consultation is required to find out for sure. Regardless of how healthy you feel, though, this treatment won’t be appropriate for you if you have a medical condition that causes extreme cold sensitivity.

Also, this coolsculpting elite treatment is not appropriate for women who are pregnant or breastfeeding or individuals who are obese or underweight. It is not recommended for pregnant or breastfeeding women due to a lack of research on its safety in such a population. It is not recommended for underweight people because there is a minimum level of subcutaneous fat required for satisfactory results. The same is true in the opposite direction. There is a ceiling above which results may not be satisfactory.

What Areas Can the Elite Device Treat?

The Elite device can be used to treat just about any area as long as there is neither too much nor too little subcutaneous fat. Women commonly use this device to eliminate fat along the bra line and on the lower back. They also commonly seek fat removal from their upper arms, hips, abdomen, and inner and outer thighs.

Men, on the other hand, more commonly use this safe, effective treatment to improve the appearance of their chest, neck, chin, and jawline. Regardless of sex, though, it is common for people to seek treatment to improve the contours of their flanks and buttocks.

Discover Today How You Can Sculpt Your Ideal Contours

CoolSculpting Elite is similar to the first iteration of the cryolipolysis-based device. However, the shape of the applicator is a better fit for your contours. This results in excellent suction, consistently uniform distribution, and quicker treatments. To find out if it is a good fit for you, contact us today at Worcester Dermatology in Worcester, MA to schedule an initial consultation.
