Eliminate Shaving and Tweezing with Laser Hair Removal

laser hair removal

When it comes to unwanted body hair, there is a wide range of methods available for removing it. Shaving, threading, waxing and even ripping hair out with tweezers are all common options, but they can leave you with small injuries, infections, ingrown hairs and scars.

In addition, all of these methods are temporary and come with ongoing costs of both money and time. If you’re ready to get rid of your body hair once and for all, laser hair removal may be right for you.

How the Process Works

Laser hair removal works by super-heating only the roots of unwanted hair. This affects the follicles in a way that makes it impossible for the hair to grow back. The laser is calibrated to only heat the hair, leaving your skin untouched.

After treatment, you’ll notice the treated hair going away, never to return. Because our hair grows in cycles, not every hair in the treated area will be removed with one treatment, making multiple treatments necessary.

After multiple treatments, the treatment area will be completely smooth, permanently.

Deciding If It’s Right for You

Men may not want to have facial hair removed entirely in case they decide to grow a beard or mustache in the future.

However, having errant hairs on the neck and high on the cheeks removed can help define the outline of facial hair and make grooming easier.

You also shouldn’t receive laser treatments if you suffer from vitiligo or psoriasis, as treatments have been shown to irritate both conditions. If you have acne or herpes on the treatment area, you’ll need to wait for the breakout to resolve before receiving treatments.

If you have any skin issues, talk to us about whether or not laser hair removal would be safe for you.

Discomfort Expectations

Some people shy away from laser hair removal because they believe it will be incredibly uncomfortable. However, thanks to current technology, there’s no reason to soldier through intolerable treatments.

The sensation of the treatment is usually reported as only being as uncomfortable as having a rubber band snapped against your skin.
